On February 18, according to industry insiders, LG Chem recently suspended operations at the Daesan PBAT plant and began to reallocate employees. The company originally planned to put it into mass production this year after trial production last year, but decided to postpone mass production indefinitely due to concerns about profitability. A person related to LG Chem said, "Although the mass production of PBAT has been postponed, we have not stopped related business," adding, "This is one of our efforts to respond to market changes and improve the efficiency of our product portfolio."
