Recently, SABIC and the Fujian Provincial Government signed an investment agreement at the Saudi Ministry of Energy on the plan to build a thermoplastic engineering plastic alloy plant in Fujian Province, China.

It is reported that the new plant is located in Gulei Port Economic Development Zone, Zhangzhou, Fujian, and mainly produces LEXAN™ polycarbonate (PC) and CYCOLOY™ PC/ABS blended modified particles.

Currently, SABIC has a technology research and development center in Shanghai, three factories in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Chongqing, and its business scope covers 17 cities across the country. In the future, the new plant will generate synergies with SABIC's two existing joint ventures, Sinopec (Tianjin) Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and Fujian Sinopec Petrochemical Co., Ltd., to provide differentiated solutions and products.
